Silver Falls State Park…A northwest jungle experience

Most of you that live in the Pacific Northwest have either hiked or heard of the trail of ten falls at silver creek falls state park, for those of you not lucky enough to experience the beauty here it is.

Embarking on this journey is easy, located about 10 miles outside of the town of Silverton, Oregon, silver creek boasts huge waterfalls, epic jungle like foliage, and a lot of huge trees! With everything from camping to mt biking and hiking, silver falls has it all. The pure thought of how this magnificent place came to be geologically is beyond my thought capabilities. The long hike which is called the trail of ten falls will take you near and often behind 10 epic waterfalls in a 7 mile trail loop. With only an 800 ft elevation gain/loss throughout the entire 7 miles it makes it a hot spot in the summer months for families wanting to see the falls.
