This past weekend was spent doing something I really needed to do. Goto the Pacific Ocean and hit the trails there. So I did with my adventure partner by my side, a few bottles of wine and a little bit of herb. We ventured out to Lincoln city, and slept on the beach. Had a bonfire every night and enjoyed just doing whatever we wanted.
Cascade Head is about 15 miles north of Lincoln City, Oregon. The trailhead starts off on the banks of the salmon river at 0 ft above sea level. The next 5 miles were pretty well uphill, with lots of roots and steps to make it slightly easier. The view from the tops was well worth the work though. Here are some shots from my weekend on the coast.
